Fabulous Purse Bag

I loved making this paper bag purse at one our demonstrator meetings. It's easy and fun to make. I started with a paper bag cut down to 4" tall and two sheets of rich razzleberry cut to 5-1/2 x 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 x 6-1/4 scored at 4-1/4. I layered them with the Cottage Wall DSP. Then I used the slot punch to punch holes for the handles. I inserted the ribbon and added adhesive underneath the pieces to hold the ribbon to the cardstock.

I attached the paper bag to the front piece of cardstock and then folded the bottom of the paper bag down on the other side (so that I didn't attach the bottom of the bag to my back piece of cardstock). I used sticky strip on the bag and lined up the cardstock pieces front to back. I used a velcro dot to secure the flap. I added some flowers with the Flower Daisies #2 Sizzix die and the "Fabulous Friend" stamp from the Oval Stamp set.

Cottage Bird Thank You Card

I used the new Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing folder to create the background for this card. I love to run my fingers over the texture after I run it through my Big Shot! I ran some Cottage Wall DSP and some rich razzleberry through the Big Shot with the Bird w/Leaves and Flower die to create the bird and its shadow. I added some rich razzleberry to the flower and adhered them to a Scallop Circle. I added "Thanks" from the beautiful Kind & Caring Thoughts level 3 Hostess stamp set on a piece from the Matchbox die and a rich razzleberry modern label.

Recipe:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts
Paper: Cottage Wall DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Orchard Opulence, Old Olive
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Sizzix dies: Matchbox, Scallop Circle, Bird w/Leaves and Flower
Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Rich Razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon, Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing folder

Orchid Butterflies

I hope you're getting a lot of ideas for butterflies and Cottage Wall DSP, because I'm full of them! I loved this card by Lynn, so I simplified it a little bit and created this card. I started by running some old olive through my Big Shot with the Swirl texture plate. I stamped the butterflies in orchid opulence and then used the stamp-a-ma-jig to easily line up the rich razzleberry flowers and outline stamped over the orchid opulence.

I punched out the butterflies with the butterfly punch and adhered them with glue dots so that their wings will be free to fly. Have a great weekend!

Butterfly on a Cottage Wall

I still can't get away from this beautiful Cottage Wall DSP. I loved this card by Mary, so I tweaked it a little to make it my own. I used the "plate" (doesn't it look like a fancy plate?) stamp from the Gallery stamp set and punched out the sentiment from Matchbox Messages stamp set to place in the middle. I stamped the butterfly on the Cottage Wall DSP and then punched it out with the butterfly punch (love it!). I loved Mary's idea of stamping a flower, then punching it out with the 1/2" circle punch and placing it on our new large brads.

Happy Stamping!

Orchid Elegant Bouquet

I love the new Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder! I love placing the cardstock in the embossing folder and then feeling the beautiful impression it leaves on the cardstock! And I love the orchid opulence, rich razzleberry, old olive color combination from the Cottage Wall DSP. I can't get enough of it! I didn't want to take away from any of the texture, so I simply stamped the sentiment from the Great Friend stamp set, layered it with some rich razzleberry and added an old olive felt flower with a brad. Simple, but pretty!

Butterfly Box Tote

When my friend told me about this cute little box that she had heard of using the Sizzix Box #2 die to create, I knew I had to try it . It's super easy to make. I just ran two sheets of orchard opulence through my Big Shot with the Box #2 die, cut of the top side flaps and adhered them together back-to-back. I used the large oval punch to create the handle and some of the new Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper on the box. I added the butterfly from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and easily punched it out with the new butterfly punch. It tied a little piece of the rich razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon to the top and it's ready to go!
