Monogramed Cards in Scalloped Card Box

I made these Monogramed cards and the card box to hold them as a gift for a friend. I love making monogramed cards as gifts, because people love to receive and use them! I decided to go with an elegant design and what could be more elegant than the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set? The Lovely Letters Alphabet coordinates so perfectly with this elegant group.

For the card box, I came up with my own pattern. I started with an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and scored at 3", 4", and 10" on the 11" side and at 1", 2", 6-1/2" and 7-1/2" on the 8-1/2" side. I cut away the corners as shown above and then added sticky strip as shown below. I scalloped the edge that folds over the box and put the box together.

Debossed Manhattan Flower Card

I made this card at our last demonstrator meeting. This is another fun technique you can do with Stampin' Up!'s Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - debossing! After running your cardstock through your Big Shot in a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, simply turn the cardstock over to the back side, use a brayer to add color and you will get beautiful results! For this card I used the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder and some Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry on some shimmery white cardstock. I trimmed the edges of the flowers, added "Thanks" layered with the oval punch and scallop oval punch, and added some polka-dot melon mambo ribbon.

Fifth Avenue Floral

Fifth Avenue Floral and Stampin' Up!'s Manhattan collection are definitely my favorite right now.  I saw this pretty card in Stampin' Success, Stampin' Up!'s monthly magazine for demonstrators, and decided to make my own pretty paper like the Baja Breeze one from the Urban Oasis dsp.  All it took was some whisper white inked roses on some baja breeze cardstock!

For the kiwi kiss rose, I stamped another rose on a scrap piece of cardstock and cut it out as a mask so I could stamp the other flowers right next to the rose to create a layering effect.  I used the "thank you" from the Note of Thanks Mini Note Kit from the Under $10 page at the back of the catalog as a sentiment.

Plum Manhattan Flower

Pictures just do not do this card justice.  The Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die creates the most beautiful impressions I've ever seen!  Just really "Ooo Ahh" stunning!  This card was so easy to create.  I just placed my Perfect Plum cardstock in the Manhattan Flower Textured Die folder and ran it through my Big Shot.  Viola!  Beauty!

I added some white striped satin organza ribbon and the "Best Wishes" stamp from the new Oval All stamp set from the Occasions mini catalog and layered it on a scalloped oval punched piece of pale plum.  I must say that I've never met a Stampin' Up! punch I haven't liked, and that I love this new scallop oval punch!

Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die

I'm so excited that the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die (114517, $7.95) is now available to order!  It coordinates with Stampin' Up!'s Manhattan Collection, which I love!

It is similar to a texture pad in that it does not cut, but creates an embossed image.  It looks like a clear folder that you place a standard card front into and roll it through the Big Shot with standard cutting pads and the multi-purpose platform.
