Pumpkin Tote

My friend made some cute pumpkin to toes, which inspired me to make some of my own!  I started with two Tangerine Tango scallop circles, cut out with the Big Shot die and embossed them with the new Lacy Brocade embossing folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I also cut out two leaves from the Autumn Accents die and embossed them with the spiderweb embossing folder.  I added the sentiment from the Day of Gratitude stamp set and a 1/2" x 5" strip of Olive Olive for the handle.

For the box I used a 5" x 5-1/2" piece of tangerine tango and scored at 1" on each side on the 5-1/2" side and then at 2" and 3" on the 5" side.  I counted 8 scallops and then scored the scallop circle to wrap around the bottom of the tote.

One week left until Halloween!

Scallop Circle and Autumn Accents dies
Spiderweb and Lacy Brocade embossing folders

Got Texture?

Whether it's the Autumn Spice Specialty Textured DSP or running your cardstock through an embossing folder, texture adds a wonderful dimension to your project! Interest can also be created by coloring the stamp with different color markers. This first card is a copy of one from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I changed out the DSP for my own textured cardstock created with the Square Lattice embossing folder.

This card is more straightforward with texture. I was inspired by this card by Trishka. I added some strips of the Autumn Spice DSP to add texture as well as some ribbon, a smooth button, and linen thread. Tone on tone stamping in the background also adds texture.

Quilted Top Note

I loved making this card! I love all the seasons, but fall is my favorite. I love the colors, the food, the crisp air and the anticipation of the holidays! The original card was made by Ilina.

The Autumn Spice Specialty DSP is perfect for this Top Note Quilt card. It's textured cardstock that I cut into 3/4" and 1/2" strips and attached to a piece of scrap cardstock. I cut it out with the top note die and then ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I added the sentiment and punched it out with my favorite punch, the Designer Label Punch and layered it with two designer label punches with their middles cut out and adjusted to look like a layer behind. More fall cards to come!
