3 drawer dresser box

I saw this box and thought it was so cute I had to give it a try! It's made with three boxes from the Sizzix Matchbox die and then a piece of 2 3/4" x 9 1/2" cardstock scored at 2 1/16", 4 1/2", 6 9/16", and 9".

I added some ribbon around the belly with a sentiment from the Oval All Stamp set punched out with the large oval punch and a scallop oval punch layer. Lastly, I added some chocolate chip corduroy buttons to the front of each box.

I'm sad to see most of the beautiful DSP and all the In Colors go, but I'm looking forward to playing with all the new colors and stamps!

Stay tuned for all the new catalog info, July Weekly Deals, and new projects!

Scallop Circle Tote Purse

Here is the other project that we made at my last stamp club meeting, a Scallop Circle Tote Purse! I used the large scallop circle sizzix die to create this cute little 3x3 notecard holder.

Here are the three cards we made to put in the tote. "Friends, Here for you, 24-7" from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. We used the coordinating Parisian Breeze paper and punches to complete the cards.

For the box, we started with a 3" x 9" piece of baja breeze cardstock scored at 1" with the 3" side across the top and at 1", 4.25", 5.25", and 8.5" with the 9" side across the top. Put the box together and then score the scallop circle at a little less than 1" to fold over the bottom of the box and attach with sticky strip to the box. Punch holes on either side of the box and thread ribbon through to create handle.

This is your last chance to get this beautiful Parisian Breeze Specialty Textured Cardstock weight DSP! Click here to order now and check out all the retiring items on sale!

Recipe:
Stamps: Friends 24-7
Papers: Parisian Breeze DSP, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa
Punches: Scallop oval, Scallop square, designer label, curly label, circle punch, scallop edge punch
Accessories: Scallop Circle sizzix die, baja breeze grograin ribbon, felt flowers, brad.

Top Note Box

This cute top note box has a fun surprise in it! Little Compartments! It's easy to create these little compartments and they are perfect for adding cute little gifts or even some chocolate inside!

To make this top note box I started with:
1 - 9"x6" sheet of cardstock scored at 1" from each edge and 4" and 5" withe the 9" side across the top
1 - 3"x6" piece of cardstock scored at 2", 3", and 4" (to create the first divider)
2 - 2"x5" pieces of cardstock scored at 1.5", 2.5" and 3.5" (to create the smaller dividers)
2 - top note die pieces cut out of your choice of DSP
2 - top note die pieces cut out of cardstock (attach to the above pieces for added sturdiness)

Start by cutting away the two pieces on the 9"x6" piece to create the lid. Then cut the tabs and place sticky strip on them to put together the box.

Dry fit the dividers and trim away any excess so that they fit inside the box. Use sticky strip to adhere the mountain fold of the dividers together and then some on the bottom to adhere them to the box.
Attach ribbon with sticky strip to the top note and then attach the box with sticky strip. Then do the same to the top of the box. Decorate the top of your box and your ready to fill it with a fun gift!

Don't miss out! You have until June 30th to order retiring stamps, accessories, and decor elements! Some retiring items are on sale for up to 40% off! Check it out on my website!

Treat Bag

I love making treat bags and when I saw one on the cover of the Stampin' Success Magazine, I decided to try to make one of my own!  I started with a 4" x 12" sheet of pacific point cardstock and scored it at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4" lengthwise for a 1 1/2" base.

For the little box inside, I used a 2" x 10" piece of so saffron and scored it lengthwise at 1 1/2",  4 3/4", 6 1/4" and 9 1/2" which leaves a 1/2" tab to put it together.

I used a 4" x 2" pice of textured kiwi kiss and scalloped the edge.  Then I wrapped some of the so saffron poly twill around the bag and added a top note cut out of Good Morning Sunshine with two holes punched in the top to pull the ribbon through and tie.  I added some textured chocolate chip cardstock as "buttons" to add some interest to the front of the bag.
