Heartfelt Watercolor Valentine's Card

I'm getting ready for Valentine's Day with the Heartfelt stamp set and coordinating Heart Punch Pack Dies!  I love using Shimmery White Card Stock to create a watercolor wash background.  To create the heart outline I simply punched the smaller heart first and then lined up the larger heart around the smaller heart punch and punched out the outline!  I added the vellum swirl from the Painted Labels Dies and some Satin Real Red Ribbon to finish the card.  What do you think?  We made this card at my New Catalog Open House and everyone loved it!

Watercoloring Flowers!

Create a watercolor look with some Shimmery White card stock, flower stamps from the Floral Essence stamp set, Calypso Coral ink and some aqua painters!  Start by stamping the flowers and leaves then use the aqua painter to go over the flowers to give them a watercolor effect.  Credit to Artisan Team Member Ashley Van Camp for this beautiful card design!

Watercoloring with Pigment Sprinkles!

Create fun vibrant backgrounds with pigments sprinkles!  Use shimmery white or watercolor paper and spritz or brush with an aqua painter with water.  Carefully add the sprinkles and then use aqua painter to spread the color around leaving some white areas.  Stamp the flowers in calypso coral and the leaves in granny apple green while the paper is still wet. And there you have your pretty background to add your sentiment to!

Watercolor Resist Technique

Have some fun watercoloring with the Darling Label stamp set and punch!  I used Shimmery White card stock and punched out then embossed the hello in white and gold.  Then I used aqua painters and ink refills to create a wash over the hello.  I embossed the background with the new Subtle embossing folder and used the aqua painter to splatter some ink over the card stock. Don't miss out on the Darling Label Punch Box!  Order it today!

Just Believe Convention Samples

I really enjoyed making these projects from convention at our last demonstrator meeting. I was not able to go to convention so it was a treat to do these fun projects. The first project is a pocket holder that we made little 1 inch cards to place inside. I love this idea and will be using it in the future!

Here is what it looks like inside.

Here is a 3x3 card that we made by sponging color through a circle cut out with the Circle Sizzix die and then stamping the images on top of the circle.

My favorite is the last card we made by coloring with markers on the stamp, spraying the stamp with water and then stamping on watercolor paper to get the watercolor effect. I also love the folded ribbon topped with a button.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these fun projects from convention! The Just Believe stamp set is definitely one of the must have sets from the new catalog, so order yours right away!

Lucky Ducky!

My Stamp Club met tonight and made this card.  We used the Duck from the Wagon Full of Fun set that is currently available to preorder now from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  We stamped the lucky duck in Staz-on on Stampin' Up!'s great watercolor paper.  I recommend using Staz-on when watercoloring so that the outline doesn't bleed when you color it in.  And Stampin' Up!'s watercolor paper is a must.  It helps making blending the layers of colors much easier and look way nicer than using Whisper White cardstock.

Then we used aquapainters to color the duck.  We used the so saffron grosgrain ribbon and stamped "Lucky Duck!" and punched it out with the large oval punch and layered it on the Designer Label Punch.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Wagon Full of Fun (Pre-order from Occasions Mini Catalog)
Paper: Delicate Dots (Sale-a-bration), Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Basic Gray, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:  Ticket corner Punch, Large Oval Punch, Designer Label Punch, So Saffron Grosgrain

There's only two weeks of Sale-a-bration left!  So don't miss out, place your order today by clicking here!
