Monogrammed Cards & Card Holder

Doesn't everyone need cards to write a quick thank you or thinking of you note? I love making personalized gifts for friends that I know they will use. I made this note card holder and monogrammed cards for my friend Kathy. Kathy has always been there to help with whatever I need help with. She's helped me paint, hang up signs, watch my kids, pick up some groceries for us, and lately give my family a ride to the airport.

I used the last of my textured soft sky cardstock for the note card holder. I adapted this from a note card holder that I had previously made for smaller cards. I started with a piece of 9 x 10 cardstock. I scored the 10 " side in half at 5 1/2" and the 9" side at 6" to create the pockets for the notecards. Then I trimmed on the 5 1/2" score line from the bottom up to the 6" score line. I corner rounded the inside edges and put eyelets in the other side to thread the ribbon through.

For the cards, I kept them simple by using the Baroque Background. I added a scalloped circle with the letter K from Lovely Letters. Then, I added a strip of the Baroque border wheel along the edge of the envelopes.
Let me know what you think! And thanks for stopping by!

Very pretty set! I think she will love this- atleast I know that I would love to receive this! I'm thinking of doing one of these for a woman who wants to gather a few friends for lunch and a suprise stamping session! TFS!
