Scallop Square Card Tote

This is the project that we made at my stamp club last night. I've seen this cute scallop square card tote on several blogs, but I can't locate where I saw the one that I will be giving instructions for - I will keep looking.

I started with 2 scallop squares cut out with the Big Shot and then polka-dot textured with the new Perfect Polka embossing folder. Then I cut out a 6" x 9" piece of sage shadow and scored at 1" from each of the 9" sides and at 4" from each of the 6" sides. I added the scallop squares to the front and back and attached a 1/2" x 8-1/2" handle to the sides with brads.

I cut out some barely banana top notes and then rotated them 90 degrees and ran them through the big shot again to create the layer for the front.

I cut the cards to 3-1/2" x 10 to fit the envelopes from the Note Cards set (107311) that comes with 20 5-1/8"x 3-5/8" envelopes. These envelopes fit perfectly in the tote!

I used the new Awash with Flowers stamp set - a sneak peek set coming in the new catalog in July available only for a limited time. You can earn this set for free when you host a $350 workshop! Click here to learn more about the special - including 20% off select two-step stampin' sets.

Here is a tutorial that I created for this Scallop Square Card Tote where show you a cool trick that my friend Kathleen figured out!

Spring Fifth Avenue Floral

This lovely card uses the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set - on sale for 20% off this month only! I copied the card from Carrie. I love how she used the embossing folder that coordinates with the stamp set. I love this color combination of certainly celery, lavender lace and barely banana. I'm going to be stocking up on lavender lace before it retires for sure!

Fold Flat Box

I learned how to make this fun box at the Reno Regional that I went to last month. This box's secret is that it can fold flat for easy transport.

I started with 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" piece of barely banana scored at 15/16" on each side to create the flat box. I scored the corners and placed sticky strip on one side of the score line.

For the cover I used a 3-1/4" x 8-1/2" piece of barely banana scored at 1/2", 3-1/2", 4-1/2", and 7-1/2"

Easter Bunny Basket

I saw this cute Easter Bunny Basket by Dacia here and had to make one! I love all the little details she included. I started with four scallop envelope dies and cut off one side flap to put the four together to create the box. Then I stamped 4 - 2"x3" pieces of whisper white with the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp. I also created the handle with a 1-1/2" piece of pretty in pink cardstock and the same stamp and the scallop trim punch.

For the bunny I used the 1-3/4" circle punch for the body, the large and small oval punch for the ears, the 3/4" circle punch for the cheeks, and the 1/4" circle for the eyes and nose.

For the flowers I used 5 extra large fancy flowers punched out of the Shades of Spring DSP and spritzed with some water and crinkled them up to give them a soft look. I added a pretty in pink corduroy button to the center and placed them of the sides of the basket.
