Post it note holders

I made this as a "thank you" for a friend with the Petals & Paisleys DSP and Polka Dots & Paisleys stamp set. I love making the little fridge post it note holders. Here is a quick tutorial on how to make these cute little things!

Supplies:
1. 8 ½ x 11 color cardstock
2. 7 ½ x 10 ½ stamped cardstock
3. golf pencils (office supply store)
4. ribbon
5. hole punch
6. corner rounder, ticket, or tag corner punch
7. paper trimmer
8. magnets
9. post it notes (2x3 or 3x3 size)

Directions:

  • Cut 8 ½ x 11 colored cardstock into 6 - 5 ½ x 2 ¾ and save excess strips of cardstock to use to make pencil holder

  • Stamp 7 ½ x 10 ½ cardstock and cut into 6 - 5 ¼ x 2 ½ strips

  • Create top edges with corner rounder, ticket punch, or tag corner punch

  • Cut excess paper into 6 strips

  • Create two notches to slip a small strip of excess cardstock into to use as pencil holder at ½ inch from top and ¾ inch from top cutting on trimmer from 1 1/8 – 1 3/8
  • Slip strip of paper into notches using the pencil and tape excess on back side
  • Adhere to colored 5 ½ x 2 ¾ cardstock
  • Punch hole at top for ribbon
  • Adhere magnet on back
  • Adhere post it note (1/2 of stack)

I got a box of the golf pencils from Office Max to use for these projects. The magnets I purchased from Walmart in the craft section. Have fun!
