Simple but Fabulous Florets Cards

I made some simple cards that I can use for birthdays and thank you cards with the Fabulous Florets. For the first cards I started with White Shimmer paper and placed a drop of wild wasabi and pacific point ink from the reinkers randomly on the paper and them spritzed with water. After the ink dried, I used black embossing powder to emboss the flower image on top and cut out the flowers. I love the resulting variation in colors!

For the birthday card, I simply embossed the flower in melon mambo, cut it out and popped it up on a dimensional.

Birthday Card

I saw this fabulous birthday card in Stampin' Success and made some of my own. I embossed the top half of the card with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and then threaded some old olive ribbon through the mellon mambo lace ribbon. I stamped the dots from the Borderlines stamp set and added some Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card. I used three old olive fancy flower punches and added a sentiment from Perfect Pairs and a circle from Circle Circus.

Fruit & Flowers Top Note Tote

The new Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper coordinates perfectly with the new Fruit & Flowers stamp set! I made this cute little Top Note Tote and three 3x3 cards for inside. It was so easy to pick the colors, I just used the ones from the Berry Blossoms dsp - Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, and Calypso Coral.

To made the Top Note Tote, I started with a piece of 5-1/2 x 6" piece of card stock and scored at 1" from each side on the 5-1/2" side and at 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" on the 6" side. I trimmed the two sides along the 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" score lines to the 1" score line on each side and folded the flaps together to create the sides. I trimmed to long side of the top note to create a felt side and then adhered one to the front and one to the back. I used a piece of 1/2" x 8-1/2" card stock for the handle. I used the Blossom Party Sizzix die and Fancy Flower punch to make the flower on the front. I sprayed them with water and crinkled them to add some texture to them.

Field Flowers and Fancy Fan Letterpress

I wasn't too sure about the new Fancy Fan Letterpress in the new catalog until I saw this amazing card by Nancy. Then I had to get it so I could make this card!! I used Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade with the Field Flowers and Petite Pairs stamp set. I popped up the flowers on dimensionals. To use the letterpress, I inked it up with white craft ink (craft ink works best) and ran it through the big shot with my card stock. It was so easy and came out so beautifully! You have to try it!
