Bells & Bough Waterfall Card

I haven't made a waterfall card in a long time and decided to try one with the Bells & Boughs stamp set and Deck the Halls DSP (now on sale together for 20% off!). Here is link to the tutorial on SCS. I really like how it turned out. I watercolored each of the images and then sponged with river rock around the image. I added the sentiment inside the pull out.

Ornament Card

This is a card from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I love the simple clean look of the card and the color combination. I used the new scallop square sizzix die from the Holiday Mini Catalog as well as the polka dot embossing folder. It's a little hard to see, but I added some pearls to the ornament.

Christmas Top Note Quilt Card

I love making these top note quilt cards. I used the Holly Jolly DSP with the Contempo Christmas stamp set (which is currently on sale for 20% off). I simply cut out 1" squares and pasted them on a scrap piece of cardstock and cut it out with the top note die and then embossed it with the poinsettia embossing folder. I stamped Merry Christmas in Cherry Cobbler and then punched it out with the designer label punch and trimmed off the top and bottom and added another piece of Cherry Cobbler underneath.

Perfect Christmas Punch

Here are two cards that I made with the Perfect Punches stamp set. I used the Joy at Christmas stamp that coordinates with the scallop punch. For the first card (inspired by this card here) I layered it on the large scallop circle punch and then on a piece of whisper white cardstock that I had embossed with the Poinsettia embossing folder. I used the swirl from Baroque Motifs in wild wasabi for the background and added some early expresso satin ribbon around the card.

For the second card I embossed the soft suede top note in the new Northern Flurry embossing folder and added some snowflakes from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set on the Poppy Parade cardstock. I added some Poppy Parade ribbon around the top note. I stamped the Joy at Christmas stamp on the Poppy Parade with soft suede and then again on very vanilla and punched them out with the scallop and circle punches to create the layers. Sweet and simple!

If you haven't already started, it's time to get going on your Christmas and holiday cards and there is plenty of time to order this and other great Christmas and holiday stamp sets from my store!

Got Texture?

Whether it's the Autumn Spice Specialty Textured DSP or running your cardstock through an embossing folder, texture adds a wonderful dimension to your project! Interest can also be created by coloring the stamp with different color markers. This first card is a copy of one from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I changed out the DSP for my own textured cardstock created with the Square Lattice embossing folder.

This card is more straightforward with texture. I was inspired by this card by Trishka. I added some strips of the Autumn Spice DSP to add texture as well as some ribbon, a smooth button, and linen thread. Tone on tone stamping in the background also adds texture.

French Foliage Card

The French Foliage stamp set is perfect for making collages. I loved this card by Ilina. I didn't have the Designer Series Paper so I make my own with the Dot, Dot, Dot and Solid Stripes individual stamps! I also used the rock and roll technique on the leaves to get the varying shades of color. And I love the new designer buttons. The colors are so vibrant they look like candy!

Quilted Top Note

I loved making this card! I love all the seasons, but fall is my favorite. I love the colors, the food, the crisp air and the anticipation of the holidays! The original card was made by Ilina.

The Autumn Spice Specialty DSP is perfect for this Top Note Quilt card. It's textured cardstock that I cut into 3/4" and 1/2" strips and attached to a piece of scrap cardstock. I cut it out with the top note die and then ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I added the sentiment and punched it out with my favorite punch, the Designer Label Punch and layered it with two designer label punches with their middles cut out and adjusted to look like a layer behind. More fall cards to come!
