Embossed Tin

I love how this turned out! This is a project that my downline created for our last demonstrator meeting. I used Pretty Petals background, versamark and silver embossing powder to emboss the tin. Then I wrapped some soft suede specialty designer series paper around the tin. I added a dusty durango scallop behind the belly band and a bird and flower from the Bird w/leaves and flower sizzix die. Lastly, I rubbed some soft suede some sahara sand cardstock cut out with the exclusive Stampin' Up! "Hi" embosslit.

The silver embossing is a really cool effect on the tin! I hope you'll try it!

Petal Card Box

I love making boxes and this one was no exception! And I love it even more when I can use my Big Shot and Sizzix dies to create cute boxes like this one! To create this box, I ran some mellow moss through my Big Shot with the Petal Card die four times. I trimmed off one of the petals on each petal card and then used the other side to put all the sides together. I folded the bottom petals one by one over each other and tucked the last one in and did the same on the top. I wrapped some so saffron striped grosgrain around the box and stamped the "friend" from the Simple Friendship stamp set. This will make a perfect gift box!

Bitty Treat Box

I made these cute little bitty treat boxes as hostess gifts for my stamp club tonight. They were super quick and simple to make. I ran some bermuda bay through Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Bitty Box & Envelope die and stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs in bermuda bay on the box. Then I put the box together and used the Lovely Letters Alphabet to personalize the box. I used the two small flowers from the new exclusive Stampin' Up! Flower Folds die to put inside the box and added a little treat to the center.

Carousel Note Box

I've been seeing these cute Carousel Note boxes and finally had some time to make one! It was super easy! I traced the Pick a Petal Classy Brass Template on some Razzleberry Lemonade DSP to create the scalloped top.

I used a 7 1/8" x 7 1/8" piece of crushed curry cardstock scored at 2" from all sides for the bottom of the box.

I placed the bottom of the box in the center of the scallop and then traced around the box and scored on my traced lines. I cut away the corners and used some crushed curry polka dot grosgrain ribbon around the scallop to hold the top together.

I stamped the flower colored with crushed curry and pumpkin pie markers on some whisper white and layered it on the same colors for the top. I hope you have a chance to make one too!

Altered CD Tin

I had so much fun decorating this cd tin with my Sizzix dies! I used the Sizzix Texturz die on the bashful blue cardstock to create the diamond texture and layered it on some chocolate chip cardstock. Then I used the Flower Layers with Leaf die for the flower in so saffron and barely banana with a brad from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware as an accent in the middle of the flower. I added some chocolate chip double stitched-grosgrain and "for you" from the Great Friend stamp set layered with a certainly celery scalloped oval.

I used the crop-a-dile to punch holes in the top of the tin to thread some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon through for a handle! Hope you have a great weekend!

Peak-a-boo Box

These Peek-a-boo boxes are so fun to make! They are perfect for candy or other little gifts. The design comes from Qbee. The template can be found in this post. For this box, I started with a piece of 9 1/2" x 4 regal rose cardstock scored at 1", 3", 4", 6", 7", and 9" on the 9 1/2" side and 1" and 3" on the 4" side.

I trimmed away the sides and then punched a circle in the flap. I stamped the hearts from the Love You Much stamp set and then stamped the birds and added the small heart from the Heart to Heart Punch and layered it on some rose red punched out with the scallop punch. I used sticky strip on all four tabs and put the box together, then tied some rose red grosgrain around the box.

Here is the box opened. I got my Holiday Mini Catalog preorder this week and I'm working on some fun things to show you so stay tuned!

Time to Bloom

Here is another card from the catalog using crushed curry, soft suede and melon mambo. I scalloped the crushed curry and then tore some very vanilla across the top and placed it on the crushed curry. I used Matchbox Messages to frame the flower from It's Time to Bloom and added a little certainly celery medallion with a dimensional.

Orchid Butterflies

I hope you're getting a lot of ideas for butterflies and Cottage Wall DSP, because I'm full of them! I loved this card by Lynn, so I simplified it a little bit and created this card. I started by running some old olive through my Big Shot with the Swirl texture plate. I stamped the butterflies in orchid opulence and then used the stamp-a-ma-jig to easily line up the rich razzleberry flowers and outline stamped over the orchid opulence.

I punched out the butterflies with the butterfly punch and adhered them with glue dots so that their wings will be free to fly. Have a great weekend!

Butterfly on a Cottage Wall

I still can't get away from this beautiful Cottage Wall DSP. I loved this card by Mary, so I tweaked it a little to make it my own. I used the "plate" (doesn't it look like a fancy plate?) stamp from the Gallery stamp set and punched out the sentiment from Matchbox Messages stamp set to place in the middle. I stamped the butterfly on the Cottage Wall DSP and then punched it out with the butterfly punch (love it!). I loved Mary's idea of stamping a flower, then punching it out with the 1/2" circle punch and placing it on our new large brads.

Happy Stamping!

Medallion Catalog Card

I love looking through the catalog to find pretty cards and projects. I found this card on page 181 and knew that I had to make one of my own! I am not sure what size they used, but it looks like a 3 x 6 card. So I started with a 6" x 6" piece of bashful blue folded in half and stamped the medallion background stamp three times. Then I wrapped some old olive ribbon around the card and placed a rhinestone brad on the end. I stamped the sentiment from the Great Friend stamp set and layered it on a square 2" x 2" piece of old olive.
