Chipboard Scrapbook Gift

I made this scrapbook page for my friend's little girl who turned one this month. My little girl is a couple of weeks older, but hers is almost twice as big and walking! Her husband is super tall and she's pretty tall too, so they have really tall kids.

I used one of the large chipboard pieces from Stampin' Up! and Flowers For You Designer Series Paper to cover the chipboard. I colored a small flower from the pretties kit with lovely lilac using the sponge dauber. For the larger flower, I used the aquapainter and lovely lilac ink.

It's funny but my friend and I both love certainly celery and lovely lilac and butterflies so I made a little coordinating 3x3 card to wish Jordyn a Happy 1st Birthday!

Fresh Celery

I loved this card by Sandy (hoefasar on SCS) so I tweaked it and made some of my own using Fresh Cuts. I love the color combo of certainly celery, wild wasabi and real red. I also decided to try stamping on the flower itself. I think it gives the flower a nice texture.

For this card I decided to try some of the other flowers from the Pretties kit. I stamped the ivy image on the larger flowers and I dyed the smallest flower with the sponge dauber. It's quick and easy and not as messy as using the aquapainter or makers. I also added some of the striped grosgrain ribbon. Have a great weekend!

Fresh Cuts & Notes

I've been having fun playing the the new Fresh Cuts set and Fresh Notes. I discovered how quick and easy it is to make a bunch of cards with this combo! To make this simple card, I stamped the large script stamp in certainly celery on the front and then on a piece of 3x3 certainly celery cardstock. I put some dimensionals on the 3x3 piece and layered it behind the punched out flower. I stamped some of the vine on the envelopes as well.

Baby Girl Card

Two of my neighbors are pregnant and due next month so I made some baby cards for them. One of them knows she is having a girl and we think my other neighbor is too! So I got the pink out again and used my new set, In the Stars, from the occasions mini catalog.

I added some bling by punching out a star from some of the extra space in between some of the sticky cut letters and sticking some pink chunky glitter to it. The chunky glitter is much easier to work with and doesn't seem to find its way onto everything that I touch like the fine glitter does.

Father's Day Wallet

We made this great wallet gift card at a previous meeting. My upline, Dannie, showed us this project and even posted a video tutorial on her blog! It was fun to make. We used the rough around the edges jumbo wheel and paper pierced to make the cardstock look like leather. Hope you had a fantastic Father's Day with your family!

Kindergarten Memory Books

Things have been a little crazy at my house this week. With two weeks left of school the Moms from my son's kindergarten class and I have been scrambling to get our kindergartener's memory books done! Above are all the binders waiting to be filled.

Half of my long table is filled with supplies and pages. I decided to try to keep things simple and just use white cardstock and some wheels to create some fun backgrounds.

Here are some of the pages that we've wheeled. We used the nursery letters jumbo wheel, classic stars wheel, it's beautiful wheel, spot on wheel, spunky spots wheel, see you around wheel, petals wheel, love wheel, and many more wheels! We've got one more week to get this done, and we made some great progress today. I still have some birthday cards, swap cards, and a stamp class to prepare for too! I guess I'll be busy stamping this weekend!

Father's Day Card

Father's Day is in less than two weeks! Are you ready? Here is a cute card that you can easily make with the Dad's Day stamp set! I made this card with a 10 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of bayou blue (scored at 3 1/2 on both ends) cardstock, a chipboard star that I embossed with certainly celery craft ink and clear embossing powder and the designer label punch.

Here you can see the dimension that the chipboard star adds to this cute card! I used the new tombow adhesive to adhere the star securely to the cardstock.

Here is what it looks like when you open it up. I love the quote in this set by Mark Twain, "My Father was an amazing man-the older I got, the smarter he got."
