Paper Lantern

We made these adorable paper laterns at our last meeting. They are a perfect project for the double-sided designer series paper and were super simple to make.

We started with a 6x9 sheet of Bali Bliss dsp and scored at 1 1/4", 3" and 5 1/2" lengthwise. Then we folded the sides over and adhered them down.

Next we folded it in half lengthwise and cut every 3/4" to the fold and attached the two sides together. We added a 3/4" x 6" handle on the top with brads and some 5 petal flowers to finish it off!

Friendship Blooms Card

Here is a card made with another Sale-a-bration set, Friendship Blooms! I love the swirly stamp. I got the layout from Teneale on scs. I used elegant eggplant and wild wasabi (I wonder what those would taste like together...) and added some bling with the new fine cosmo glitter. Of course I had to use some of the new striped wild wasabi grosgrain ribbon!

Mailbox

After seeing so many cute mailboxes, I've been wanting to decorate one myself! Luckily, my upline was reading my thoughts and gave me one at our last meeting as our challenge project to decorate! I knew I had to use Berry Bliss dsp and the heart from Always on the mailbox. Then I used the scallop punch, 5 petal punch, and boho blossoms punch on the flag. I used the new chocolate twill ribbon around the ends. Now I'm ready for some mail!

Personalized Gifts

I love making personalized gifts so when I saw Lovely Letters, I immediately thought of using it with the Baroque Background stamp to create some elegant monogramed notecards with a matching notecard holder.

I got the template for this awesome note card holder from Julie Ebersole, her royal rubberness, when I went to a class she had a couple of years ago. There she is third from the left.

To make this note card holder, start with an 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock and score at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side and 5 1/2" on the 8 1/4" side. Trim on the 4 1/4" score from the bottom up to the 5 1/2" score to create the two pockets to hold the envelopes and note cards. I used 4 of the notecards and envelopes from the small note card set that SU sells in a pack of 20. So I can get 5 gifts from one pack!

Delicious Cards

Here is the swap card I made for the Oakland Regionals that I went to on Saturday. I love the pretty in pink, purely pomegranate, and close to cocoa color combination from the Berry Bliss dsp! It reminds me of chocolate covered strawberries! And I love how the Boho Backgrounds set prefectly coordinates with the Berry Bliss dsp as well!

Speaking of delicious, here is that chocolate cake from Brithday Whimsy again! I added some yummy frosting with some dazzling diamonds glitter.

Birthday Card

I love the new Sale-a-bration set, Birthday Whimsy! It is such a super cute set! This was the make-n-take for the last workshop I did. We started with a chocolate chip base with an old olive layer. Then we used some almost amethyst dsp with some wide chocolate chip grosgrain. We stamped a chocolate cake and added some of the new fine cosmo glitter.

Here is a closer look at the glitter. Contact me if you want to know how you can get this set free!

Valentine's Treats

I made a lot of Valentine's Treats for my 2nd grader and kindergartener's classes. I found this cute idea from Laura on scs. I started with a 3x3 card and used the love wheel and the sentiment from Holiday Wishes. I stuck a heart shaped lollipop that I found inside and tied some red grosgrain ribbon to finish it off. Super quick and super cute!

I put them all in a nice basket for my son to carry to school. Happy Valentine's Day!

Nursery Necessities Card

I got the layout idea for this Nursery Necessities card from Jane (Whoopsie Daisy on scs) here. I changed the colors to blue bayou and river rock and added the double-stitched river rock ribbon lengthwise. I used the Nursey Letters jumbo wheel on the river rock squares. I loved using the star punch to punch out the cute stars. I used dimensionals on the stars and boat to add some dimension.

Sale-A-Bration!

It's sale-a-bration time! For every $50 you purchase, you receive a free sale-a-bration stamp set! Hostesses can receive free stamp sets as well! And the starter kit is 20% off at only $159! See all the details here.

For this 3x3 card I used the So Many Scallops sale-a-bration set. I started by punching the scallop punch in the middle of some bashful blue textured paper (love the textured paper!) and then using the corner rounder to scallop the bottom edge. Then I embossed the Happy Birthday stamp on some certainly celery dsp and rose red dsp and punched out the middle of the rose red and added it to the middle of the certainly celery with a dimensional.

Then I placed dimensionals in the four corners of the certainly celery dsp and aligned it with my punched out scallop to create the dimension on the card.

Heart Tote

We made this adorable Heart Tote at our last meeting. Jen found a Heart box at Target that we used as our template. We stamped Tres Chic on textured groovy guava cs. I added some wide grosgrain ribbon as a handle. Some chocolate and this tote is ready to give away!

Altered Altoid Tin

These altoid tins make great little gifts that you can put yummy treats in. I decorated this one with wild wasabi and purely pomegranate. I stamped the heart and swirl from Priceless. I covered the side with some wild wasabi double-stitched ribbon and put some yummy treats inside.
